Early Tudor joined oak merchants table

Early Tudor joined oak merchants table. The twin plank top above a twin parchemin panel front, the sides with single parchemin panels. The rear with a central carved muntin of two blind tracery windows (a previous example sold by Marhamchurch antiques has the exact same windows) flanking two recesses. One rear leg initialled TK.

Merchant or Counter tables of this type are extremely rare, most have been extensively over restored due to the nature of the tables job. This example being no different, with all four lower sections of legs and both lower stretcher rails replaced.
