Elizabethan inlaid and carved chest, of huge proportions. The front framed with applied decoration forming three arcaded panels, being flanked by four figures. The stiles and rails all inlaid with holly and bog oak both on the front face and inner faces. The three main inlaid panels with botanical imagery and a later inserted date of 1639. Each side panel with one huge full length inlaid panel with an interlaced pattern and with applied carved arcading. Chests of this high quality and size rarely come to the market.
