Elizabethan oak joined chest, twin panel front flanking a central column with a carved capital below the original lock plate, both panels framed with applied mouldings around a central panel, this is a very typical 16th century design. The four panelled top with hasp (period but later added) hinges modern replacements. Dry patinated untouched surface.
