Thomas Bradberry's chair. Joined oak armchair with lozenge carved back panel with simple moulded and punch decorated cresting rail with the inscribed name THOMAS BRADBERRY and stamped S and W flanking the name, above this a cut out decorated frieze. The front supports turned with huge bobbins supporting the down swept arm rests. The seat rails with simple mouldings and crenellated to the front and sides on the lower part of rail. A chair from the same workshop is illustrated in Victor Chinnery's Oak Furniture, page 63, figure 2:21 and is inscribed with the name Thomas Kyrke 1680. Rare collector's piece.
