Description

French gothique credence or as we know it as a Gothic Dressoir, late 15th century. This credence has been restored in the 20th century, replacing the lower shelf, carved butresses, right hand drawer and the rear legs. Most credence cupboards in museums across the world are in similar condition and are illustrated in books on French furniture and can be clearly seen restored.
