Description

Henry VIII joined oak armchair, with a portrait panel of Francois 1st, this highly important chair belonged to the diocese of Exeter and was stored for many years in the choirs rooms at the cathedral.
Although the chair depict’s Francois 1st this chair is clearly English, possibly made by a Frenchman living in England.
