Description

17th century joined oak chest, from the Exeter area, in the style of Thomas Dennis. The stiles and rails with the typical Devon S-scroll and Scrolled leafy decoration to the frieze rail. The three main carved panels with a cruciform interlaced pattern with traces of original polychrome.

A near identical example sold in the Discovering Dennis Exhibition, Exeter 2009.
