Description

Early 16th century brass bowl depicting Adam and Eve flanking a tree with serpent rising and building behind with hinged door, subject known as ‘The Fall of Man’. With a wide banner of Gothic script.

The same designed pattern is illustrated in Klaus Tiedemann, Nuremberg Alms Dishes,page 45 number 33g.
