Description

Charles I joined oak and inlaid press cupboard, the lower section with two large doors arranged with applied mouldings and inlaid with chequer designs, being flanked by plumed feather stiles and above a lunette carved mid rail. The upper section with three doors arranged the same as the lower doors with split columns flanking the doors and column turned outer supports, the frieze rail carved with vine and leaf decoration. This is only a furnishing piece but with a good look and partly period and the price reflects the condition, the front and sides are original, the top boards, internal boards and back boards have all been replaced and also the two front columns also replacements

Provenance: Purchased by previous owners from Hallidays Fine Antiques Ltd., Dorchester on Thames, 17th August 2005 for £20,000.
