Description

Charles II oak and elm boarded chest, covered in leather embossed with the coats arms of England, Scotland and Wales, the leather with traces of original paint throughout. The front panel bearing the arms of Scotland in the centre flanked by the arms of Wales and this being flanked by crowns. The sides with the full English arms with crowns above. The top having Tudor roses embossed.

This is a very rare piece with no other examples known to compare with.
