Charles II joined oak folding table, the three twist turned legs with one rear leg split into two for the gate joined by plain stretcher rails, the lower section with pot board, above this the upper plain frieze rails with two drop pendants.

Folding tables were made with a very wide variation in the form of the base. Many were fitted with a platform or pot shelf over the stretchers. Victor Chinnery
