Description

Elizabeth I inlaid oak chest of high quality. The front with two huge panels with applied gadrooned frames with an inlaid infill panel of botanical imagery being flanked by S-scrolled pilasters with inlay each side. The upper frieze rails with fine row of inlay. Possibly made by an overmantel maker.
