Elizabeth I oak carved and inlaid overmantel (formally a bed headboard) the three inlaid panels with classical buildings typically found on Nonsuch chests, set into deep recessed panels applied mouldings and arcades with S-scrolls, cartouche and leafy decoration, with the upper section of arcades carved with lions masks and winged angel upper spandrels, flanked with 'atlantes and caryatids'
