Description

Elizabeth I joined oak armchair, the baluster turned legs joined by plain lower stretcher rails with the applied moulding around the seat rails. The back rest panel carved with a large single leafy arcade, with a swirled scrolled cresting rail.

Provenance: Graham Dark collection, Cornwall. Graham was gifted this armchair on his wedding day from his wife Molly, Molly had purchased the armchair from S W Wolsey in Buckingham gate.
