Description

Elizabeth I joined oak and carved stool, with the frieze rails with a flattened arch with a row of nulling joined with by four simple column legs with plain stretcher rails. Similar example in Tobias Jellinek, Early British Chairs and Seats, page 223, plate 282 Similar example sold in Bonhams, The Beedham Collection lot number 146, with a later top sold for £4750.
