Description

Elizabeth I oak carved bedstead, Exeter, Devon. The head board carved with two arcaded panels deep set and flanked by male and female figures. The canopy carved with Exeter strap work designs and masks. The huge cup and cover carved columns decorated with shell and leafy designs all typical of the Exeter workshops.
