Description

Elizabeth I oak boarded chest, the front carved with vivid and florid botanical imagery, with a central five petal Tudor rose.

The Carpenter – the work of the carpenter was primarily that of the housewright ” He squareth timber with a chip-axe, and saweth it with a saw. Then he frameth the walls together, and fasteneth the great pieces together with pins” Victor Chinnery, Oak furniture the British tradition.
