Description
Huge Elizabeth I oak carved armchair of great presence. The massive baluster turned legs with fluted decoration joined by wide lower stretcher rails with the front section carved with nulled designs, the seat rails carved with nulling. The two back rest panels carved, the lower panel with a lozenge with interlaced designs within, the panel above this with nulled designs and topping out with a a huge S-scrolled and floral imagery cresting rail.
Back legs tipped.
