Description
Elizabeth I oak carved chest with three tall arcaded panels with guilloche decoration and lozenge design with the centre panel bearing a later date 1615 and initials E R, below this a simple applied plinth with chain guilloche designs and the frieze rails with an egg and dart applied moulding. Deep rich purple brown colour typical of the West Country.
