Description

Elizabeth I oak carved panel, either section of headboard or overmantel of the very finest West Country workmanship. The two arcaded panels with serpent columns supporting the ornate gadrooned and S-scrolled arch with winged angels in each upper corner, the panel within carved with S-scrolls with a central mask in the form of a cartouche design. These panels being flanked by male and female figures. Above the frieze panels with full scrolled serpents.
