Description

Elizabeth I oak carved and inlaid livery cupboard. The bulbous cup and cover supports carved with acanthus and gadrooned designs, joined by the lower carved stretcher rails and applied moulded midway rails, the frieze rails inlaid with leafy scrolled decoration with applied carved lions masks. The twin cupboard doors set in deep gadrooned carved frames with floral inlaid designs.

High style Elizabethan cupboard made for a high status house.
