Description

Elizabeth I oak carved and inlaid boarded box with drawer. The upper section of box finely carved with nulling to the from and sides with applied moulding above, below and flanking each end of nulling. The front section of nulling parted with the initials E B set in with pitch and above the original lock plate.

Lower section with drawer inlaid with intersecting lozenges and each side with similar inlaid designs. the base with attached sledge feet.

Possibly one of the finest Elizabethan boxes on the market.

Rare Collector’s piece.
