Elizabeth I joined oak armchair

Elizabeth I joined oak armchair. This chair is not for the purist it is more of a document of a great thing. The chair with its carved back rest with a quartrefoil of flowers and roundels and above this a lunette carved frieze rail with domed top with roundels. A similar chair possibly made by the same family is in Milbourne port Church, South Somerset and dated 1601 and illustrated in Oak Furniture from Gloucestershire and Somerset.
