Description
Elizabeth I joined oak and heavily carved Exeter town buffet. The upper section with two doors and a fixed central panel all with figures and carved decoration typical of Exeter town form. The frieze rails with the classic Exeter strap work carved of the highest quality.
Below a single cupboard with pot board below. The side panels are in-period reused mid 15th century vine and leaf carved panels and possibly from a run down church within the town.
This is an extremely rare Exeter piece.
