Description

James I joined oak and carved armchair. Carved back panel with applied arcading with a central rose with scrolls. The cresting rail carved with a shell type motif with leafy patterns within. On the inner section of each arm is the initial R T flanking the centre carved panel.

The outer section of arms recessed and stamp decorated, and the seat rail carved with nulling.

Patch repairs to the seat and a modern piece of oak filling the small shrinkage in the seat. Overall very nice condition.
