Henry VIII elm chest, This chest is very primitively carved with trailing Gothic vine and leaf ornament and two roundels. With its original lockplate and initialed I H. The side with trefoil cusped arches. Extensive repairs to the lid and replaced pin hinges. Although this chest is primitively carved it has a similar feel to the famous Fares chest in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
