Charles I oak joined chest

English oak joined chest of small proportions. Carved with intersecting, foliage filled lunettes and segmented flower-heads typical of the East Devon-area. Extensively ornamented with punch-work. Retains undisturbed surface, original lock and escutcheon, and full height.
