Description

James I carved oak chest from Exeter, the front three panels arcaded with leafy foliage within. The stiles carved with guilloche and leaf designs, the frieze rail carved with a classic Exeter motif, the interlinking cresting wave/shell with leafy infills. In dry and old untouched condition.
