More information

Henry VIII boarded oak chest, carved with a linenfold panel in the horizontal position with three sections chip carved decorated, only one side is carved with a fully decorated linenfold design and the other completely plain.

This chest with only one side carved must have been made for a specific area of the house where only the carved side was visible. Extremely rare Tudor example.
