Description

Henry VIII joined oak armchair (Great chair) The back rest with two ornately decorated linenfold panels with upper rail carved with leafy designs. The flat armrests supported by plain supports and stretcher rails.

Chairs of this period are extremely rare and most in a restored state, this chair is no different in having both its back supports completely replaced over 100 years ago.

Extremely rare collector’s piece and an important document of early English seating.
