Henry VIII joined oak chest, of panelled construction, the front carved with three panels, a central carved rose within a petal band and leafy spandrels, flanked by two fruit and leaf carved panels. The sides with two plain panels within a heavy moulded frame, the back panelled and plained for view. A near indentical cupboard from the same workshop was in the Nyetimber sale, Sothebys, lot number 1153 September 2001 and described as: A rare English oak livery cupboard, early 16th century.
