Henry VIII Joined Oak Linenfold Chest

This exceptionally original Henry VIII period joined oak chest is a work of both remarkable craftsmanship and preservation. The front is carved with two boldly executed linenfold panels, deeply cut to capture the illusion of folded parchment, a design of enduring popularity in the first half of the 16th century.
