Description

Henry VIII oak carved chest / hutch. The upper chest section with three panelled front with applied moulding and framed in deep channel moulded stiles and rails, beneath this a single drawer carved with tracery. The base with pot board and three simple linenfold panels closing in the back.

The sides with twin plain panels above a horizontal linenfold panel.

This is an exceptionally rare form of English Renaissance hutch with the chest section at the top, and also for the small proportions.

Rare collector’s item.
