More information

Henry VIII oak table of rare form, the plain framing with large plain panels to the front sides and back, the framed sides of almost trestle form with a single plank top. The now central drawer formally either a fixed panel or door possibly altered in the 17th century. Last image here of a carved Henry VIII hutch table sold by Marhamchurch antiques of the very same form.

Henry VIII furniture in this form is very scarce, this table was possibly intended for use in a kitchen for the preparation of food.
