More information

James I carved oak chest with drawers, the front with four drawers and upper chest lid with the front section carved to match the drawers. The sides carved with interlocking decoration and the front with guilloche and egg and dart applied mouldings around the drawers fronts. This form of chest is rare, so the Georgian handles can be forgiven, these can easily be removed. Superb condition throughout.
