James I oak carved backstool with open-back with a large arched panel above carved with a lion’s mask with a ring in the mouth. With a blue leather upholstered seat. Old repairs

A very similar example sold in Bonham’s 19th Feb, 2020 lot 115 for £9437.

Very rare example and unusual in form.
