Description

James I oak carved armchair. The back rest panel carved with a central rose within pointed roundels, the cresting rail of simple scrolled design with roundels. This chair has originally been used as a commode chair and all the original pine structure is still intact but seat long fixed down.

A very similar example sold in the Sherwood collection, Sothebys 2002 sale lot number 188.
