Description

James I joined oak chest, decorated to the highest standard with three arcaded panels displaying double S-scrolls within. The central panel with shield initialed and dated  I C 1623.

The side panels with huge single panels with double arcades. The upper frieze rails decorated with leaf and flower motifs.

This chest is in an untouched old condition, with original old surface and original throughout.
