Description

Early 17th century oak carved chest, from East Devon. The twin panel front carved with lozenge design with leafy decoration flanking the central stile carved with botanical imagery with the date and initials 16 RM 14. The outer stiles and upper frieze carved with lunettes and bottom rail carved with scrolling flower and leaf designs.
