Description

Late Elizabeth I oak carved centre table. The baluster turned legs joined by deep moulded lower stretcher rails and the upper frieze carved on all four side with a fine row of gadrooned decoration with the lower section of skirt cut out.

This table is comparable to joined oak stools from the same period although it is less common to see gadrooned carved frieze rails on smaller tables from this period.
