James I carved oak chest, the front with two panels carved with roses within roundels flanking a central double S-scrolled muntin and the outer stiles carved with plumed feathers. The upper frieze rail carved with intersecting lunettes of a plain design with the original cutout lock plate. The sides and top panelled.
