Description

Charles I oak carved and inlaid tester bed, the panelled canopy held by the ornate headboard with three carved terms flanking two interlaced inlaid panels, and above the frieze rail inlaid with scrolled leafy decoration and below the panels a rail with gadrooned and leafy decoration.

The posts holding the canopy baluster turned and carved with nulled decoration, the foot board added in the 17th century and dated 1666 (year of the great fire of London), this a genuine in period addition.
