Description
A finely crafted Late Gothic casket of small size, constructed in walnut with a domed lid and cut-out moulded plinth. The lid is fitted with original wrought iron strap hinges and a shaped lockplate, surmounted by a wrought iron handle with zoomorphic dragon head terminals. The base is profiled with Gothic-inspired tracery outlines, lending an architectural quality to the form.
