Description

Medieval carved English oak choir stall section, removed from St. Margarets Church, Leicester in the 1840s. Both stall’s carved with heads, one bald headed man and the other a hooded bearded man, the back panel with original tracery sections applied.

General condition very good with old repairs to make the chair usable, misericord long missing and with a replaced oak boarded seat.

The last picture shown is a drawing from the beginning of the 19th century and shows the choir stalls in situ in St Margarets Church.
