Description

Pair of 16th century walnut Savonarola folding armchairs. The X frame form with carved rosette carved central boss on sledge feet. With old velvet seat cover and back rest.

This is the exact type and period of armchair that would have been in all of Henry VIII’s palaces, brought from Italy and Spain.
