Description

Large Renaissance wrought iron and wooden curule folding stool. The four turned finials painted and joined to the two carved Renaissance designed arm rests. Iron work later painted green.

Henry VIII’s inventory listing: 12091 Item one faire high stool covered with nedle worke the grownde redde richlie garnished with H R of Damaske perle tasselled with gold and Silke.
