Description

Joined oak chest elaborately carved with botanical motifs and numerous other structural and ornamental traits comparable to the documented practices of the Dennis workshop in New England.

The underside of the lid has three initials W I M and on the back panel a label from the House of Lords, with the owner’s name, Mrs Ogden 1958.

This chest is one of the finest from this group of chests to come to the market.
