Description

Early Tudor ash turned chair, quite possibly from Glamorgan, Wales. With vertical spindles and shallow incised lines, this great chair of large proportions in an old condition untouched, missing the front two uprights below the seat rail and the lower rail they sat in. A near identical example is in Richard Bebb’s book Welsh Furniture 1250 – 1950, page 140, fig 219.
