Description

William and Mary carved oak press cupboard of very rare form, the lower cupboard with a single central door carved with interlaced decoration and plain panelled to each side and above. The mid section with a desk type panelled lid (clearly never intended for writing upon) and above this the outer two doors carved the same as the lower door with interlaced decoration, but with a central spindle mural cupboard incorporated. Above this the nulled carved frieze rail with two hanging pendants with ionic capitals and the initials S W.

A rare piece
