More information

Early 16th century joined oak linenfold settle of small proportions, with four linenfold panels to the back and also to the front. Each side with four linenfold panels. Two near identical examples can be seen in Victor Chinnery's Oak Furniture: Figure 3:12. page 239 and John Fiske's new book,When Oak Was New, page 162. Interesting to see that poor timber choice has been used on all three settles.   Condition is very good for the age.
